Clover Mama Afrika has announced that it has received a new vehicle from Eqstra — a division of Nedbank. This investment aims to extend far beyond mobility by being a practical enabler of access, reach and sustained community impact.
Clover Mama Afrika is a corporate social investment programme focused on empowering women and strengthening community-based care centres across South Africa. At the heart of this work are the Clover Mamas, women who operate as local hubs of care, skills development, food security and community upliftment.
The addition of a dedicated vehicle, made possible through Eqstra's support, aims to enhances the programme's ability to operate effectively across geographically dispersed communities and deepen its on-the-ground presence. This partnership also aims to reflect Eqstra's continued commitment to corporate social investment and practical, solutions-driven support that enables sustainable impact, says the programme.
Importantly, Eqstra has been a long-standing partner of Clover Mama Afrika, supporting the programme for over a decade, aiming to helpto strengthen mobility, logistics and operational reach over time.
For the Clover Mama Afrika project, this vehicle represents more than transport. It represents:
- access to reach more Mamas in their communities
- access to deliver ongoing skills development and mentorship where it is needed most
- access to strengthen operational support for centres driving care, dignity and empowerment, and
- access to deepen connection with grassroots beneficiaries in real time.
By improving mobility, the programme says it is better equipped to respond, support and scale its work across regions. Partnerships such as this aim to demonstrate the strength of collaboration between corporate South Africa and social impact programmes, says the programme.
Eqstra's role as a fleet management organisation focused on efficiency, innovation and integrated mobility solutions aims to make it a natural partner in enabling operational effectiveness. In this instance, fleet capability becomes a catalyst for social change, adds the programme.
"We want to extend our sincere appreciation to the Eqstra team, as well as the Clover Fleet Management team, for their support, coordination and shared commitment to making this initiative possible. A partnership like this is not something we take for granted and we appreciate that they still support the Clover Mama Sfrika project after so many years,” says Rika Haasbroek, Manager: Corporate Social Investment at Clover Mama Afrika.
Together, this partnership aims to reflect a simple truth: When purpose meets partnership, impact travels further.
