With the help, contribution, effort, creativity and generosity of participants and sponsors, the station managed to surpass their fundraising goals and secure much-needed funds to change lives for good.

According to the radio station, over 60 companies participated in the event, demonstrating incredible support for the Good Morning Angels initiative.

The 2024 Good Morning Angels Golf Day was not just about fundraising; it was a celebration of compassion, generosity and hope. The atmosphere was filled with camaraderie and goodwill as golfers and supporters alike embraced the chance to contribute to a cause that resonates deeply with so many, says Jacaranda FM.

According to the radio station, the funds raised will enable Good Morning Angels to continue its vital work in providing support to families and individuals facing adversity, ensuring that they receive the necessary care and assistance to overcome their challenges.

"This year's Good Morning Angels Golf Day was next level on every single front. The tee box sponsors made it so much fun and entertaining and the generosity from our sponsors made this year's Good Morning Angels Golf Day the biggest one yet," says Martin Bester, Good Morning Angels host on Jacaranda FM.

"After raising R4-million last year, I didn't want to get my hopes up and expect more, but our listeners, advertisers, partners and new friends helped make it so much bigger this year. We raised an enormous amount of money and got an enormous amount of support from the Jacaranda FM family. It puts us in such a great position to change more lives and I am so proud to have been a part of such an incredible day," adds Bester.

"We are overwhelmed by the incredible generosity and commitment shown by our participants and sponsors this year," says Deirdre King, managing director at Jacaranda FM. "Raising R4.85-million is an outstanding achievement, and we could not have done it without the amazing community of companies and individuals who believe in the power of giving back. This will enable us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most."

Celebrating Creativity and Generosity Through Competitions

The Good Morning Angels Golf Day also held a hole sponsor competition, where sponsors creatively contributed to the atmosphere and fun of the golf day, all while raising additional funds for the Good Morning Angels Fund. This initiative celebrated the innovation and enthusiasm of participants who went above and beyond to make the day special, says the radio station.

According to Jacaranda FM, the auction, which contributed R1-million to the Good Morning Angels Fund, highlighted the dedication of all involved. Key contributors, such as Rock Blend Ready Mix, purchased a Jacaranda FM advertising campaign valued at R500 000 for R450 000, showcasing the generous spirit that characterised the event.
