The most recent winner drove home in his brand-new Chery at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY GQEBERHA 10K the first Sunday in March, officially kicking off the 2026 Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series season in spectacular style, says Absa.

According to Absa, for competitors to stand a chance to win the Chery at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY CAPE TOWN 10K, they must:

  • Register for the event and pay the entry fee.
  • Collect your race number during the designated collection period. Runners need to be at the start line on event day and complete the 10km route.

2026 Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series

According to Absa, the results of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY GQEBERHA 10K on Sunday 1 March 2026. are as following:

  • Elite Men's Winner: Adriaan Wildschutt (RSA) 27:47.
  • Elite Women's Winner: Brenda Jepchirchir (KEN) 30:15. 

According to Absa, the details for the Absa RUN YOUR CITY CAPE TOWN 10K are as following:

  • Date: Sunday, 10 May 2026.
  • Start Time: 09:00.
  • Start Venue: Marine Drive, Milnerton.
  • Finish Venue: Cape Town CBD.
  • Entry Fee: Licensed Runner — R255. Temporary License — R60.
  • Entries Close: Monday, 4 May 2026, or once capacity has been reached.

According to Absa, the details for the next Absa RUN YOUR CITY 10K's are as following:

  • Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K: Sunday, 12 July 2026.
  • Absa RUN YOUR CITY TSHWANE 10K: Sunday, 23 August 2026.
  • Absa RUN YOUR CITY JOBURG 10K: Thursday 24, September 2026.
